Calibration overview#

Calibration tells GraphX how positions in the source image correspond to values on the graph. It is required before GraphX can produce calibrated data coordinates.

Choose a method#

• Fast calibration is the normal choice for screenshots, scans, and exported figures. It supports rotated or sheared graph axes.
• Perspective calibration is for photographs and images where the plot rectangle is visibly distorted by viewpoint.
• Logarithmic axes can be selected independently for X and Y in either method.

Use clearly identified reference positions and enter their matching graph values carefully. GraphX marks points outside the calibrated range as extrapolated so they can be reviewed separately.
