Interface overview#

GraphX keeps project actions, graph interaction, configuration, and extracted data in separate regions so the source graph remains central.

The header shows the project name and its unsaved-change indicator. Use Open project and Save project for .graphx projects, Notes for project notes, and Export for output files. Instructions, About, and the theme control are available from the utility actions or the compact menu at narrower widths.

Graph workspace#

The centre workspace displays the source image and its overlays. This is where you place calibration references, add or correct points, trace curves, and inspect the live coordinate overlay. Pan with Pan or temporarily with a middle-mouse drag while in Add/edit points; use the mouse wheel or toolbar controls to zoom.

Graph toolbar#

The toolbar switches between Pan, Add/edit points, and Trace curve, provides Axis lock, Fit image, and zoom controls, and shows the source-image name and image actions.

Its Display menu controls Crosshair, Invert image, and Precision magnifier. The magnifier’s zoom control becomes available when the magnifier is enabled. These are viewing aids: they do not alter the underlying source image or numerical data.

Inspector#

The right-hand Inspector contains the main project configuration. Its Calibration, Datasets, and Trendlines sections can be expanded or collapsed.

Calibration selects Fast or Perspective geometry, axis scale, reference values, and optional axis details. Datasets manages the active series, including its name, colour, ordering, and export inclusion. Trendlines manages fitted models associated with datasets.

Data points drawer#

The bottom Data points drawer shows the active dataset’s point table and calibrated coordinate values. It provides Copy data, Sort points, Precision, Undo/Redo, and point-cleanup actions. Selecting or editing a point reveals it in the table where possible; coordinate values can be reviewed and corrected there.

The footer provides Documentation in a new tab and Release notes. It also keeps broad workspace context such as the current mode, active dataset, image dimensions, and zoom level.
